Fontaine Software is run by me, an independent developer building purpose-built Shopify apps like SKU Stock Sync and SKU Manager. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what rights you have under the Australian Privacy Principles, whether you're a merchant using one of my apps or just visiting this site.
When you install one of the apps, I collect information through Shopify's APIs and webhooks to make the app work: your store's ID, name, plan, contact email, the permissions you've granted, and billing status. If you contact me for support, I also collect whatever you send: messages, screenshots, crash reports, and the like.
If you use the contact form or leave feedback on an article, I collect the email address and message you provide, only to reply to you. I also use cookies for analytics, to understand how the site is used, and for spam protection on my forms. If you're visiting from the EU, UK, or EEA, you'll see a banner asking you to accept or decline analytics cookies before any are set. Declining doesn't stop the site from working.

I don't sell your information. I share it only with the providers who help me run the apps and this site, and each only receives what it needs to do its job:
Shopify, to operate the apps within your store
Resend, to deliver emails from my contact form
Cloudflare, to host this website and protect my forms from spam (Turnstile)
I keep merchant data for as long as the app is installed, plus a short period afterwards for backups, then delete it. Website contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry. You can ask me to delete your data at any time, see "Your rights" below.
You have the right to:
Access the personal information I hold about you
Correct any information that's inaccurate or out of date
Ask me to delete your information
Decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner shown on your first visit
Lodge a complaint with me, or with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you're not satisfied with my response
My apps subscribe to Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks and delete or return data as required when a merchant requests it through Shopify. You're also welcome to email me directly.
